4/10/12: Home from a two week trip on the east coast. Played shows with NYC Bluesman BOBBY RADCLIFF in Durham NC, Virginia Beach, and Nyack NY. Greg Gascon drummed on the southern dates and Keith Hurrell drummed in Nyack. I also did some studio time in upstate NY with Bluesman Rick Wahlers. Dropped in on old bandmate Kane Daily on his show on Long Island. Had a great time sitting in with him. Just like old times. My old bass tech Big Al and Audrey lent me a weonderful 72' P-bass and one of Al's hot rod P-basses. Thanks again!!!
3/20/12: Wrapped up a few 1 weeker west coast runs. The first trip was with NYC Bluesman BOBBY RADCLIFF. We did three shows in the bay and a show in LA. We also had a day in the studio. There is a new CD worth of original material that is waiting to be mixed, etc. Bob Danielson played drums on the trip. FUN. We also did A stop at KZSU Radio for the Byrd Hale Show at Stanford University. Byrd featured Bobby for an hour.
Also did a west coast run with SPANKY & OUR GANG. Two shows in the bay and two in Los Angeles. Spanky McFarlane, Ed Ponder, Jim Carrick, Karen DuMont, and special guests John Kito (piano) and Denny Dias (lead guitar). Dinky Dawson was our soundman/road manager. We took Dinky over to Stanford University for a radio interview with Byrd Hale. Twice in two weeks. Dinky talked about his work with Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac, etc. Amazing stuff.
Lots of VIDEO footage of all 8 shows and both radio interviews on YOUTUBE. Just run the band names on search and March 2012.

2/16/12: Just got back to California from a week of gigs. Played 3 shows at THE LOW COUNTRY BLUES FESTIVAL in CHARLESTON SC with NYC Bluesman Bobby Radcliff. We had not done that festival in 8 years and Charleston was as fun as ever! Great crowds and one super organized event. Bobby was at his best playing lots of new material. Even a few of the newest unreleased tunes (yes we've been recording again)... Drummer Greg Gascon did his first trip with Bobby and was amazing!!
I also did a book promo in upstate New York at Rossi Music Center in Canandaigua NY with Greg Gascon (dr), Craig S Snyder (gtr), and Mike Plouffe (drums). It was a phunk/fusion meltdown. FUN!!
Greg Gascon also joined me at my sisters bar The Cottage Hotel in Mendon NY for an invite only open mic that i hosted. Rick Wahlers played guitar in the house band. When ever i go back home and do a show, i always see all these talented musician friends in the audience and wish i could jam with them. so this was my solution!! Host a jam. It was a very special night. The endless list of great guests included: drummer Steve Rosenberg with his "When Friends Come Out To Play" band (i'm on the new CD).. Don Mancuso, Bill Froenfield's Midnight Express, The Kind Brothers, Amanda, Nate Coffey, Multipal Nik & The Nice Guys members, etc. It was a crazy fun night. Hope i can do it again. I did stand in a snowbank on this trip and quickly remembered why i live in California!! COLD!!!

2/10/12: I sold my house in Eureka CA. YEA!! I've never been so happy to loose money.. I met some talented musicians in the region and made a lot of great friends. Hope to C all of U when touring through down the road. I will say this. I've lived in many places including: NC, NY, LA, OH, Mass, The Bay, Etc. Eureka was the most currupt FFFed up place i have ever lived. Especially the city council. Never knew that buying a house was such a crime. They sure make u feel like a criminal.. I wont be missing Eureka or their twisted town hall employees!! hope a sunami wave levels your town soon!!! If it goes down, look on the bright side.. you jerks can charge more krazy fees for rebuilding permits!!!
