Bassist and Vocalist, Chris Matheos is a native of Rochester, NY. He studied music at The Berklee College of Music in Boston. As a freelance bassist he has toured/recorded with national acts in about every style of music. He has also written many instructional bass books that have been released internationally by Mel Bay Publications. Chris performs regular bass guitar seminars/book promotions. He performs solo and with bands usually featuring his own compositions. He currently leads the Chris Matheos Group (Blues/Funk Band).

Chris has spent time writing concert and cd reviews for Good Times Magazine (NYC region), The Long Island Ear, and many bass magazines. He is a panel member and A&R scout for Network Pacific Records. He is currently endorsed by Washburn fretted basses, Roscoe fretless basses, David Eden bass amps, Conklin electric upright basses, and Pigtronix effects. Chris loves live music and enjoys playing just about every style.
